Steve, Executive Functions Skills Coach

My name is Steve Rossi and I am currently in my 6th year of teaching at Gill. St Bernard’s School in Gladstone-Peapack, NJ. I began my teaching career as a TA at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in the fall of 2008 and have taught ever since. I graduated magna cum laude from USP in 2011 with a B.S. in Chemistry and an ACS certification. I continued my education at the University of Delaware where I published peer-reviewed papers and wrote a thesis focused on catalytic chemistry culminating in a Masters degree. After graduating in August of 2013, I began my high school teaching career at Bishop George Ahr High School, teaching all 3 levels of biology, and coached varsity baseball and girls basketball. Over the past few years, I have taught multiple levels of chemistry both at the high school and collegiate level, worked at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, and earned a teaching certificate through Rutgers University. Recently I completed my doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at Rider University where I focused on the prevalence of stress and anxiety in AP students. I currently teach A.P. Biology, Honors Biology, and C.P. Biology, am the moderator of the school’s Blood Drive, and run several service based clubs. When I am not at school, I am enjoying time with my wife, Theresa, my son Will, and my daughter Noelle. We enjoy going to the beach, visiting the zoo, playing with our dogs, and anything Lego. In my free time I enjoy reading, fishing, and watching baseball.
